Accelerate breakthroughs in lifesaving research and empower people everywhere to conquer cancer.
The Conquer Cancer – Breast Cancer Research Foundation Career Development Award (CDA) for Diversity and Inclusion in Breast Cancer Research is aimed at increasing diversity in the oncology workforce and cancer research fields. This program supports clinical investigators in the early stages of their academic careers who belong to racial and/or ethnic groups underrepresented in academic medicine and biomedical research. The award, which is mentored and requires guidance from a scientific mentor, promotes the involvement of U.S. and international applicants in breast cancer research. Each recipient is granted $200,000 over three years to facilitate their project. The selection process is competitive, with funding allocated based on the merit of the applications. A total of two awards are initially available under this program, with the possibility of additional awards depending on funding availability. Applicants must be members of the associated organization to qualify.
