The COPIC Medical Foundation's mission is to provide charitable financial support to programs and initiatives that address healthcare issues. Formed in 1991, it aims at improving patient care and medical outcomes, having contributed over $10 million towards these goals. CMF emphasizes collaboration, results-orientation, innovation, and ethical principles including honesty, fairness, equality, dignity, and diversity in its operations.
The COPIC Medical Foundation grant program is dedicated to enhancing healthcare outcomes by supporting three primary types of initiatives: programs that improve patient safety and quality of care through systematic changes, pilot programs aimed at reducing medical errors, and the development as well as implementation of tools to better manage diseases and care transitions. This includes supporting scalable or replicable solutions that test new ideas or expand on existing ones, aiming for broader application to improve continuity of care, reduce readmissions, prevent missed diagnoses, and enhance overall quality of care in the healthcare system.
