At Delta Dental of South Carolina, our passion and purpose is to improve oral health for all ages. We aim to achieve this mission in part through our oral health grant program, focusing on reducing oral disease, ensuring affordable and quality dental care, enhancing awareness of oral health, especially among children, the indigent, and underserved populations, and making a measurable difference in the oral health of South Carolinians.
The Delta Dental of South Carolina Grant Program is dedicated to supporting efforts that reduce oral disease through education, prevention, and treatment; ensure access to affordable, timely, and high-quality dental health care; enhance the awareness of good oral health, particularly focusing on children, the indigent, and other underserved populations; make a measurable difference in the oral health of South Carolinians, with an emphasis on underserved populations; and aim to place South Carolina among the states with the highest indicators of oral health. The grant categories include Project/Program/Restricted, Capacity Building, Equipment, with a minimum grant amount set at over $5,000 and a maximum at $100,000. Grants are awarded for a single year with organizations limited to one grant request per year, emphasizing that the funded projects are for one year and do not guarantee ongoing support.
