The Ethel and James Flinn Foundation is dedicated to enhancing mental health treatment, services, and programs that are effective and research-based, focusing on meeting the needs of individuals in Michigan, with a primary geographical concentration in the southeast region encompassing Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties.
The Ethel and James Flinn Foundation issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) for implementing Children’s Mental Health Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs). With a budget of approximately $500,000 for the year, it considers two-year grant requests ranging from $50,000 to $75,000 per year. This initiative seeks to enhance accessibility to effective prevention, screening, early identification, and treatment interventions for children and youth under 21. The Foundation emphasizes the implementation of best practices supported by evidence in various settings, including infant mental health models for at-risk parents, developmental screening and mental health treatment in early childhood settings, pediatric screening and treatment in primary care and school-based clinics, through various therapeutic interventions and diversion programs designed to route children and youth away from the juvenile justice system into appropriate treatment and support services.
