    Overview

The Mini-Grant RFP by the Ethel and James Flinn Foundation is aimed at non-profit community organizations in Southeast Michigan that are not mental health providers yet recognize the need for mental health awareness and education among their constituents or community. This includes faith-based groups, youth organizations, community development bodies, grassroots initiatives, and human service entities. Acknowledging the crucial role of raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma, the Foundation has earmarked $50,000 for small, one-year grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 each. These grants are intended to support initiatives focused on improving mental health education, awareness, and public outreach efforts, such as educational programs, community or personal experience campaigns, youth-led initiatives, and activities promoting prevention, self-care, and mental wellness.
