The foundation's grant program primarily aims at supporting survivors of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), recognizing TBI as an "orphan" disability in the United States with insufficient understanding and support regarding its impacts. The foundation backs community-based, post-acute services for TBI survivors, especially those programs enabling survivors to actively participate in and contribute to society. A special focus is placed on supporting such programs within California, highlighting the foundation's commitment to localized, impactful support for individuals facing the challenges associated with TBI.
