The Geological Society of Connecticut aims to advance geology and its branches through education, research, and service. It focuses on promoting public education on Connecticut's geology, the proper use of its natural resources, and elevating professional conduct in geologic data handling.
The GSC Student Research Grant is designed to support students conducting field work in Connecticut. The program espouses the advancement of geology as a science and profession, contributing to public education on the state's geology and endorsing the responsible utilization and conservation of natural resources. Annually, up to three grants of $500 each may be awarded.
