The Nightingale Ministry grant program supports faith communities in their outreach efforts to provide emotional and social support to senior citizens in nursing homes and housebound individuals through handmade greeting card initiatives. This grant specifically covers the cost of craft supplies needed to create greeting cards, fostering a caring connection between faith communities and those in isolation. Grant proposals are initially reviewed by donors of the Nightingale Fund before consideration by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
