Visionaries for Change focuses on funding Black-serving nonprofit organizations, defined as those having a majority (51% or more) of their clientele as Black. The grant program is directed at organizations that aim to enhance the overall wellbeing of the Black community in Hampton Roads by focusing specifically on strengthening businesses, mentoring entrepreneurs, offering technical assistance, improving access to capital, creating wealth, and facilitating long-term financial security through financial literacy, education, and employment opportunities. In 2024, the grants are anticipated to average $5,000, although the amount may vary.
