    The mission of the Indiana Native Plant Society is to promote the appreciation, preservation, scientific study, and use of plants native to Indiana. They aim to teach people about the beauty, diversity, and importance of these plants to our environment.

    Type of Support

    Overview

    The Biodiversity Grants offered by the Indiana Native Plant Society are awarded in three categories to support efforts aligned with the mission of appreciating, preserving, studying, and using Indiana's native plants. These categories are:

    1. Research: Supporting projects focused on native plant propagation, habitat needs, life cycle, restoration, or the control of invasive plants threatening native species.
    2. Demonstration Garden: Funding for projects that demonstrate the use of native plants in landscaping at public sites to showcase their beauty and utility.
    3. Land Management and Conservation: Aiding efforts to ecologically manage, restore natural areas (e.g., removing invasive plants, planting native prairies), or protect natural areas through acquisition, ensuring the preservation of native species and their habitats.
