The mission of the Inland Empire Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in the communities it serves by building permanent endowments, making prudent grants for charitable causes, acting as a catalyst to solve community concerns, and strengthening nonprofit organizations.
The Cultivating Inland Empire Latino Opportunity (CIELO) Fund, launched by the Inland Empire Community Foundation in 2022, supports the Latino community in the Inland Empire, which is a majority in the region. The fund focuses on uplifting organizations, initiatives, and ideas led by and serving Latinos. Its grantmaking priorities, informed by commissioned reports, target leadership development, capacity building, economic mobility, educational equity, health equity, housing security, environmental equity, climate change, racial equity, immigrant inclusion, and narrative change.
