To conserve and enhance our natural resources in cooperation with individuals and organizations to improve the quality of life in Iowa and ensure a legacy for future generations.
The Conservation Education Program (CEP) is part of the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) Act of 1989. It is managed by a five-member board that allocates approximately $350,000 annually in grants. These grants are aimed at conservation education efforts in Iowa, supporting a wide array of initiatives designed to educate the public on the importance of conserving natural resources.
