The Foundation aims to nurture and advance endeavors that contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty, assisting individuals in helping themselves, developing the Catholic Faith, advancing spirituality, supporting and loving Catholic Institutions, cultivating a passion for learning, fostering respect, and encouraging cooperative/collaborative partnerships. It seeks to fund initiatives with large "ripple effects" and supports both sectarian and non-sectarian charities, with a strong focus on Catholic institutions in Texas.
The grant program focuses on two main categories: Sectarian and Non-Sectarian initiatives. Almost 90% of its contributions support Sectarian entities, primarily Catholic schools and churches within Texas, underscoring the Foundation's strong inclination towards promoting education and Catholic values. The program also extends its support to non-sectarian entities, dedicating at least 10% of its annual distributions to non-religious and church-unrelated charities within the state. Key areas of interest include education, health, and human services, aligning with the Foundation's core values of supporting poverty alleviation, faith development, education, and collaborative efforts that have significant and preferably enduring positive impacts on society.
