Stimulate and catalyse the advancement of STI for the benefit of society, research and enterprise in Kuwait
The grant program supports research projects that align with national priority areas, specifically in Health, Education, Energy, Environment, Water, Food Security, and Digital Transformation, along with broader science, innovation, and technology initiatives. Priority is given to proposals that are collaborative, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral. The grant types include Basic Research Grants, which aim at advancing fundamental knowledge, and Applied Research Grants, focusing on creating practical solutions and may lead to commercial products, generation of patents, or influence policy making. Preferences are for projects with plans for real-world impact, including translational medical research that can be implemented into clinical practices or lead to prevention research outcomes.
