Light A Single Candle is a private foundation dedicated to the relief of poverty through effective partnerships. It focuses on food support, food security, and food sustainability; microbusiness and economic development; and the development of individuals, families, and communities towards self-determination and an improved standard of living.
The Light a Single Candle Foundation grant program welcomes both first-time applicants and established partners to apply for funding. New applicants are required to contact the Program Officer before applying and submit a Letter of Inquiry. Established partners must contact the Program Officer for an access code. Unsolicited grant proposals are accepted throughout the year, with the Board of Directors reviewing submissions quarterly according to set deadlines.
