The Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund (MSCRF) Validation Program aims to support the transition of promising stem cell technologies with significant commercial potential from academic to commercial sectors. This involves advancing the development of stem cell-based technologies to address unmet medical needs through validation, market assessments, and facilitating technology licensing to commercial entities. The program encourages collaborations between academic institutions, departments, schools, and public and private sectors, enhancing collaboration between academia and businesses in Maryland. Eligible projects may receive an award of up to $250,000, to be completed within 24 months without expectations for no-cost extension approvals.
