Building upon the legacy of Mother Cabrini and the Catholic tradition, the Foundation is focused on healing the sick and caring for the poor. It supports programs meeting the unmet healthcare and healthcare-related needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout New York State.
The Basic Needs Grant Program by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation focuses on addressing the essential needs of New Yorkers to build healthy lives. It aims to improve access to benefits and social services, enhance economic security and mobility, and promote the overall health and well-being of individuals and families facing challenges like food insecurity, inadequate housing, and economic instability. The program supports efforts in building awareness, improving resource navigation, and strengthening the availability of social services. It also promotes financial stability through financial literacy, job training, and access to affordable services. The foundation considers grant proposals of $75,000 or greater.
