The mission of the National PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children through collaboration, commitment, accountability, respect, inclusivity, and integrity.
The STEM + Families Science Festival, sponsored by Bayer Fund, is designed specifically for elementary schools. This grant program selects 30 local Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) to each receive $1,250 in funding. Additionally, two District/Council/Region (DCR) or SEPTA/Community PTAs will be awarded $5,000. The goals of the grant are to host hands-on Science Festival programs, reach underserved families, enable student and family engagement in STEM activities together, and for DCR/SEPTA/Community PTAs to involve at least four PTAs in the program.
