The National Endowment for the Humanities serves and strengthens our nation by supporting high-quality projects and programs in the humanities and by making the humanities available to all Americans.
This grant program focuses on developing and implementing educational programs aimed at professionals involved in the preservation and access provision of humanities collections. These collections span a wide range including paper-based, photographic, archaeological, ethnographic, artistic, audiovisual, digitized, and born-digital materials. Recognizing the importance of skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds in both large and small organizations, NEH awards grants to organizations that offer national, regional, or statewide education and training programs. The goal is to support the development of professionals who can ensure long-term access to these materials for scholars, students, and the public. Projects at any stage—from early curriculum development to advanced implementation—are welcomed, and collaborations with both academic and non-academic institutions are encouraged.
