The mission of the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is to build healthy and vibrant communities throughout Ontario by investing in community-based initiatives and strengthening the impact of Ontario’s non-profit sector.
The Youth Innovations Scale Grant program is geared towards youth-led and youth-adult partnership projects that have been successful for at least two years and are seeking to either expand their reach or deepen their impact on young people. This grant supports projects aiming to enhance existing initiatives by adding new components or refining their models to better serve and impact the youth. Projects eligible for scaling up should demonstrate evidence of success and alignment with one of the YOF Priority Outcomes. The grant facilitates both the enhancement of projects for a deeper impact and the expansion to reach more youth, for example, by offering more locations or sessions. Priority for the grant is given to projects serving Indigenous youth, Black youth, racialized youth, newcomer youth, Francophone youth, 2SLGBTQ+ youth, youth with disabilities or special needs, youth in rural or remote areas, and youth facing significant challenges such as legal issues, care situations, low-income backgrounds, homelessness, or educational disruptions.
