The Strategic Grants are designed to stimulate positive change in Ottumwa and Wapello County. They focus on projects that align with the Foundation's strategic plan which has identified four priority objectives: Economic Prosperity, Quality of Life, Education Opportunities, and Housing Availability. Specific causes supported include effective economic development strategies, increasing employment, enhancing the community image, leveraging resources for quality of life improvements, supporting educational programming and achievements, and addressing housing needs through rehabilitation or increased inventory.
