    Overview

The grant program targets the development and implementation of programs that address behavioral health concerns, specifically aiming to support those in historically underserved communities. The program has several key goals, including:

    • Program Development: Providing grants to organizations for specific projects, rather than for day-to-day operational costs or broad general work. This ensures funding is directed towards impactful, defined initiatives.
    • Community-led Efforts: Supporting the implementation of community-led projects that create a business case or demonstration for interventions, programs, and policies focused on behavioral health. This encourages community involvement and ensures that solutions are tailor-made for the unique needs of the community.
    • Capacity Building: Offering grants for organizational development such as staff support, training, and strategic planning. This helps build the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of organizations working within this space, empowering them to make a lasting impact.
