The Rhode Island Foundation seeks to address the health and healthcare needs of Rhode Islanders by managing and distributing funds from generous donors. These funds are designated for specific medical conditions, aiming to support nonprofit organizations working within these areas to improve health outcomes and address health inequities and disparities across the state.
The Miss Swinburne Fund Grant provides annual awards to nonprofit organizations that aim to enhance the self-sufficiency and independence of girls and women in Newport County, Rhode Island. This grant supports programs that offer certificates, degrees, and/or formal credentialing, thereby encouraging the education and empowerment of women and girls in this region. The fund encourages applications from organizations seeking to improve educational and support services for women and girls, and applying to this grant does not restrict organizations from seeking other funds administered by the Foundation.
