The RBF is dedicated to ensuring the transformation into transparent, accountable, and responsive democracies, emphasizing ethnic, gender, age, cultural, and racial diversity, and promoting pluralistic, inclusive societies.

    Overview

    The grant program aims to advance solutions to climate change by:

    • Building public and policymaker understanding and support for actions to address climate change.
    • Supporting the development of a clean energy economy at various government levels.
    • Reducing reliance on carbon-intensive energy sources.
    • Advancing international progress on climate change. It supports initiatives that are ecologically responsible, economically viable, socially equitable, culturally sensitive, and that ensure fairness to future generations. Special emphasis is placed on the United States due to its significant global influence, alongside targeted efforts in Central America, China, the Western Balkans, and through international climate negotiations. The program advocates for global stewardship and encourages collaborative climate action across all sectors of society, stressing the importance of intergenerational equity and the moral implications of inaction.
