The mission of the Good Works Fund is to support projects addressing unmet needs in established priority areas within the Rotary Club of Traverse City’s service area, primarily focusing on Grand Traverse County. The aim is to award grants to nonprofit organizations engaged in significant work within the local community.
The Good Works Fund grant program aims to support nonprofit organizations through financial grants of up to $5,000. These grants are intended to back projects in specific causes, outlined as priority funding areas, including arts and culture, basic human needs, education, environment, health and safety, and recreation. The program prioritizes capital expenditures, equipment purchases, one-time special opportunities/events, and the initiation of start-ups and new projects.
Preference is extended to entities that primarily derive their operational funds from non-governmental sources. It is advisable for applicants to secure diverse or supplementary financial support before submission. Projects with the potential for the widest enduring benefit within our service region are especially favored.
