RBC Future Launch is committed to preparing Canadian youth for the future of work through a 10-year, $500 million initiative. Engaging public and private sectors, this program aims to address critical barriers to success for young Canadians by co-creating solutions, ensuring they are well-equipped for tomorrow’s job market.
The RBC Future Launch grant focuses on overcoming three critical barriers facing young people: lack of relevant experience, lack of relevant skills, and lack of professional networks and mentoring. Specific efforts include providing equitable access to work-integrated learning experiences such as co-ops, paid internships, apprenticeships, and vocational training. It aims to make young people future-ready by equipping them with 21st-century skills like critical thinking, digital literacy, and teamwork. Additionally, it seeks to connect young individuals with career development support through mentorships, career counseling, and access to labour market information. To maximize its impact, RBC Future Launch supports charitable programs targeting young individuals aged 15-29, focusing on innovative and evidence-based solutions designed to tackle these barriers in an inclusive manner, reaching diverse communities including those from different cultural and geographical backgrounds, and various abilities.
