The broad goal of the RTK Scholars Program is to support students in environmental science, biology, engineering, or related physical sciences who have the potential to become leaders in environmental testing and technology development. The grant program specifically aims to fill the industry's demand for highly educated professionals by offering a $1,500 scholarship to a qualified applicant pursuing a career in science and environmental studies. The scholarship is awarded annually through an essay writing competition, judged by RTK founder Robert Weitz alongside a panel of environmental inspectors and experts, providing financial support to one student per school year.
