San Diego Community Power (SDCP) aims to support local clean energy projects and programs through funding that promote economic, environmental, health, and community benefits, encouraging a shift towards a sustainable, clean energy future.
The Community Clean Energy Grant Program, initiated by SDCP in collaboration with the San Diego Foundation and supported by Calpine Energy Solutions, is designed to fund community-based organizations and nonprofits working on clean energy initiatives. The program emphasizes projects that contribute to economic development, environmental conservation, health improvements, and community enhancement. With an expected budget of over $1 million for grants, the program awards amounts ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. All grant funds awarded must be used within 24 months.
