The mission is to build sustainable food systems through the support of urban agriculture, demonstration, and community gardens in San Francisco. This includes efforts to educate, provide economic and health benefits, and promote the efficient use of water in local gardening projects.
The Green Infrastructure Grant Program supports the design and construction of green stormwater infrastructure projects on large public and private properties to reduce stormwater runoff and provide public benefits that improve the quality of life for SFPUC rate payers. Eligible projects include permeable pavement, bioretention systems, rainwater harvesting, rain gardens, and vegetated roofs.
