The Community Foundation inspires philanthropy and serves as a catalyst and connector for community impact.
The BUILD Grant Program primarily seeks to support smaller nonprofit organizations with annual operating budgets of $500,000 and below. It underscores the importance of building unity, infrastructure, leadership, and development within these agencies. The program facilitates this by offering funding opportunities for general operating needs and specific projects focused on capacity building, staff or board training, communication or donor development efforts, and capital equipment improvements. The maximum grant award is set at $5,000, with a grant period lasting up to one year from the award date. Organizations that have received BUILD funding in the past 12 months and are currently finalizing those projects are not eligible to apply.
