Securian Foundation Grants

The grant program by the Securian Financial Foundation is designed to:

• Support the basic needs of community members to ensure financial stability, with a focus on equitable access to resources, affordable housing, and steady employment. Main funding priorities include food security, housing, workforce development, and emergency needs.
• Enhance youth and education by promoting financial literacy and higher education access, aiming to close achievement and inequity gaps, improve high school graduation rates and higher education pursuit, and increase financial literacy. Funding priorities in this category are college readiness, mentoring, youth programming, early education, and equity in education.
• Foster vibrant communities by supporting access to arts, culture, sustainability, and civic engagement, focusing on outreach to underrepresented communities and equitable access to arts and community activities. Funding priorities encompass performing arts, museums, cultural programs, environmental sustainability, community building, and civic opportunities.
