Sioux County Community Foundation Grant

    United Airlines established a Fund within the Siouxland Community Foundation in appreciation of Siouxland’s response to the United Flight 232 incident in July of 1989. The fund aims to provide financial support for education and community projects in the Siouxland area.

    The Sioux County Community Foundation Grant program focuses on responding to current and emerging needs within Sioux County by supporting a wide range of areas, including arts and culture, civic initiatives, education, the environment, health, and human services. This program aims to provide or increase access to various cultural, educational, and recreational activities; address community beautification and betterment; support early childhood development and continuing education; promote health and wellness; and assist special groups in need, such as the elderly, youth, families, economically disadvantaged, and minorities. The Advisory Board, representing community interests, reviews proposals to recommend funding based on the organization’s capacity to positively impact Sioux County’s quality of life.
