The mission of the Society of American Foresters (SAF) focuses on advancing the science, education, technology, and practice of forestry. SAF is committed to promoting and enhancing the stewardship of forest resources through the dissemination of knowledge and technology.
The John A. Beale Memorial Award aims to recognize outstanding efforts over a sustained period by an SAF member in promoting forestry through voluntary service to the Society. The award highlights the Society’s commitment to advancing policies and partnerships that support sustainable forest management and empower forestry and natural resources professionals. It includes an honorarium of $500, complimentary SAF convention registration, and up to $500 to cover travel expenses.
