The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Foundation aims to enhance the well-being of employees and the performance of organizations through the science and application of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
The Distinguished Professional Contributions Award is designed to honor an individual who has made significant, lifelong contributions to the field of industrial and organizational psychology through the development, refinement, and application of practices, procedures, and methods. These contributions must have had a substantial, verifiable impact on workers, organizations, and the broader field of I-O psychology, primarily in non-academic contexts. The award recognizes efforts that have significantly improved the effectiveness of I-O psychologists in various settings, including business, industry, and government. The accolade includes a plaque, a $1,500 cash prize, and an invitation to present at the next SIOP conference. Awardees are also expected to contribute as reviewers on the award subcommittee for three years post-recognition.
