The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Foundation aims to enhance the well-being of employees and the performance of organizations through the science and application of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
The Schmidt-Hunter Meta-Analysis Award is granted annually to a SIOP member or team whose meta-analysis research significantly contributes to the field of industrial and organizational psychology. The award celebrates high-quality methodological, conceptual, and theoretical work, emphasizing advancements in cumulative knowledge relevant to I-O psychology practice. The recipient(s) receive a plaque, a $1,500 cash prize, and if eligible, an invitation to serve on the award subcommittee for three years. Submissions are evaluated based on methodological excellence, advancement of cumulative knowledge, implications for I-O psychology practice, and comprehensive explanation of their adherence to these criteria.
