The Wayne Cascio Scientist-Practitioner Award is designed to honor a SIOP member whose career is a model of the scientist-practitioner approach in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, reflecting a significant commitment to both research and practical application within the discipline. This award emphasizes the intertwining of science and practice, valuing the contributions made to both fields by an individual. It recognizes achievements such as the introduction of innovative methods that bridge theory and practice, the development of evidence-based organizational interventions, the authoring of influential publications, and mentorship in the I-O psychology community. Recipients are celebrated for their dual impact on the practice and science of I-O psychology and are awarded a plaque and a $3,000 cash prize.
