    Overview

The Texas Campaign for the Environment Fund's grant program supports grassroots groups, formal and informal organizations working on environmental issues, particularly those impacted by the February Deep Freeze. The program offers emergency funding of up to $4,000 per applicant, focusing on grassroots networking to protect public health in Texas. The program values local community involvement, creative interventions, strategic thinking, and supports projects that are either defensive or solutions-focused. Eligible projects include grassroots organizing, public education, training and capacity building, community-driven strategic non-violent direct action, amplifying community voices in significant forums, field studies and original research for accountability, and seed money for emerging grassroots organizations. Applicants do not require legal non-profit status to apply and will be notified about the outcome within 4 weeks.
