The Harold Brooks Foundation, established in memory of Harold Brooks, aims to assist causes and organizations that benefit the largest number of South Shore, Massachusetts residents. It focuses on supporting those that address basic human needs and has a particular emphasis on education, food, agriculture & nutrition, health, housing & shelter, and mental health. The Foundation prioritizes nonprofits that significantly improve the human condition and equip the neediest with tools for rebuilding their lives.
The Harold Brooks Foundation grant program is designed to support endeavors that have a broad impact on South Shore communities or significantly benefit traditionally underserved residents within these areas. It focuses on funding projects in five key sectors: Education, Health/Mental Health, Food, Agriculture & Nutrition, and Housing & Shelter. Specifically, it supports educational programs for all ages, healthcare services that address community needs or expand care for underserved populations, and initiatives that meet basic needs like food programs, shelters, and employment programs, aiming for a large-scale positive effect on the community’s well-being.
