The mission of United Way of Greater New Bedford (UWGNB) is to mobilize people, partnerships, and resources to catalyze change that strengthens the communities they serve, envisioning a region where all people have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Community Impact Grants by United Way of Greater New Bedford focus on local projects addressing Healthy Community and Child and Youth Opportunity. The grants support programs that align with their priorities, such as increasing access to basic needs, promoting physical, mental, and social wellbeing, nutrition and food security, mental health, maternal and child health, substance misuse, early education and childcare, in and after school and summer learning, and literacy development, thereby strengthening the community.
