Clean Ports Program: Zero-Emission Technology Deployment Competition

From United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The mission of EPA is to protect human health and the environment - today and every day.

    Type of Support

    Overview

The grant program announced by the EPA’s Clean Ports Program seeks to fund zero-emission (ZE) port equipment and infrastructure to mitigate mobile source emissions across U.S. ports. Moreover, it supports climate and air quality planning activities such as emissions inventories, community engagement, and the identification of resiliency measures. These activities are part of a broader initiative aimed at reducing pollution and facilitating a sustainable transition to ZE operations at ports, supported financially by the Inflation Reduction Act. This initiative builds on the EPA's ongoing Ports Initiative, which addresses the health and environmental impacts of the nation's ports on surrounding communities.
