    The COPS Office Anti-Heroin Task Force (AHTF) program offers competitive grants specifically to State law enforcement agencies in States that experience high per capita rates of primary treatment admissions. The primary goal of these grants is to bolster efforts to locate or investigate illicit activities related to the distribution of heroin, fentanyl, or carfentanil and the unlawful distribution of prescription opioids. This program emphasizes Statewide collaboration in combating the distribution and impact of dangerous opioids and enhancing public safety.
