The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
The grant program aims to foster the development of a specialized predoctoral cohort equipped with advanced competencies in data science analytics relevant to behavioral and social health-related big data. It seeks applications for new Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (BSSR) predoctoral training programs that emphasize innovative computational and data science analytic approaches integrated into training. While it restricts Trainees from leading independent clinical trials, it permits them to gain research experience in clinical trials under the guidance of a mentor or co-mentor.
