We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), managed by NRCS, aims to integrate conservation into working lands by offering technical and financial support to agricultural producers and forest landowners. The program supports a wide range of environmental goals, including improving water and air quality; conserving ground and surface water; increasing soil health; reducing soil erosion and sedimentation; enhancing wildlife habitat; and mitigating against drought and increasing weather volatility. EQIP emphasizes one-on-one assistance to develop conservation plans tailored to address specific on-farm resource concerns, facilitating practices that lead to cleaner water and air, healthier soil, and better wildlife habitat, all while improving agricultural operations. Additionally, EQIP promotes the efficient use of nutrients, reduced contamination from agricultural sources, and the implementation of climate-smart practices to improve carbon sequestration and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
