We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is designed to offer farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners financial and technical assistance to integrate conservation practices into their operations. The program targets various natural resource concerns, supporting projects that improve water and air quality, conserve water, increase soil health, reduce soil erosion, and improve wildlife habitats. Additionally, it addresses agricultural resilience against climate change effects by funding practices geared towards reducing environmental impact and enhancing sustainability. EQIP encompasses several initiatives, including the High Tunnel Initiative, Organic Initiative, Air Quality Initiative, and others, focusing on sector-specific needs such as organic production and air quality improvements. Through Conservation Innovation Grants, EQIP also fosters the development and adoption of innovative conservation technologies and approaches on agricultural lands, aiming to enhance environmental benefits and agricultural efficiency.
