We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program aims to provide technical assistance and training specifically designed for small rural businesses, defined as those with fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue. It targets projects that benefit rural areas or towns outside the urban periphery of cities with populations exceeding 50,000. The Rural Business Development Grant prioritizes small grant requests without a mandatory cost-sharing requirement. Funds can be utilized for a wide range of purposes, including but not limited to training and technical assistance, land development, machinery acquisition, pollution control, the capitalization of revolving loan funds for startup and working capital, distance learning for job training, rural transportation and economic development, technology-based development, feasibility studies, entrepreneur training, rural business incubators, and strategic business planning.
