    Type of Support

    Overview

This program is designed to support small rural businesses through technical assistance and training. It targets businesses with fewer than 50 employees and less than $1 million in gross revenue. The grants are aimed at projects benefiting rural areas or towns outside of cities with a population of 50,000 or more. There is no maximum grant amount, but preference is given to smaller requests, and there's no cost-sharing requirement. The funds may be used for various purposes including training and technical assistance, land development, pollution control, capitalization of revolving loan funds, distance learning for job training, transportation improvement, economic development, feasibility studies, business plans, entrepreneurship training, and business incubators, among others.
