We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This grant program aims to support small rural businesses through technical assistance and training, emphasizing those with fewer than 50 new employees and less than $1 million in gross revenue. It focuses on projects that benefit rural areas and towns outside cities with populations over 50,000. The program has no maximum grant amount, though smaller requests are prioritized, and does not require cost sharing. Funding can be used for a wide range of purposes, including training and technical support, land and equipment acquisition, pollution control, capitalization of revolving loan funds, distance learning for job training, rural transportation improvement, community economic development, technology-based economic development, feasibility studies and strategic planning. Projects should aim to benefit small and emerging businesses in specified rural areas.
