This grant program focuses on supporting the development and improvement of essential public services by providing funding for clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage for households and businesses in eligible rural areas. The funds can be utilized for a wide range of purposes including the acquisition, construction, or improvement of infrastructure related to drinking water, sewer, solid waste, and storm water management. Additionally, the grant covers costs related to legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, start-up operations and maintenance, interest incurred during construction, and the purchase of facilities to enhance service or prevent service loss, among other necessary project completion expenses.
