    Overview

    The Rural Water and Wastewater Technical Assistance and Training (TAT) Program is aimed at supporting qualified private nonprofit organizations. These organizations are expected to provide technical assistance and training that will help solve water and waste problems in rural communities. This includes assisting in the preparation of applications for loans and grants for water and waste disposal, improving management, operation, maintenance, and sustainability of water and waste facilities, as well as addressing the contamination of water supplies by emerging contaminants. The grant, with an anticipated funding level of approximately $37,500,000 for FY 2024, underscores a commitment to ensuring that rural areas have access to clean and reliable water and waste disposal systems.
