AmeriCorps aims to bring people together to tackle some of the country’s most pressing challenges through national service and volunteering. It focuses on improving communities by making service a cornerstone of national culture. AmeriCorps supports programs that engage members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions/practices to strengthen communities.
The AmeriCorps grant program supports organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. Members may receive benefits and, upon completion, an education award for higher education expenses or qualified loans. Volunteer NH, as New Hampshire’s State Service Commission, focuses on affordable housing, access to mental health resources, and food security. It oversees the AmeriCorps State selection process within the state, aligning with priority areas in its State Service Plan.
